DESCRIPTION:
EPW - H.P. Isaac, London, rare Pouzait lever fusee, 57mm, silver OF original case bearing London hallmarks for 1850, "W B" in cameo for casemaker William Brady, cream colored enamel dial, KWKS, Pouzait type lever escapement with escape wheel having upright teeth that the pallets wrap around, large three arm gilt balance, gilt mvt, s#1564.
CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, balance wheel tilts to side indicating a likely broken balance staff, fusee chain is intact, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, excellent gilt tone, few mild fine to micro-fine scratches; dial with few light hls with the longest extending from 11:30 to 3, fine scratch to right side of seconds-register; excellent hands, seconds-hand with some oxide at center; case shows light wear, an attractive moderate patina, mild denting to left perimeter of rear, protruding ding left of rear center, reduced engine turning detail with some loss at portions of shoulder and band; tight bow, push shows medium wear; glass crystal with few scattered scratches.
